Sup peeps, heading over to Oslo to spinn at Club Mango Friday 11th Nov. its an epic date 11.11.11 and gonna be an epic evening.
I know its way early, but cant wait until 2nd April when my boi DJ Confuze will touch down at Audio Club and guest The Sole Session with me. Its bound to be off the hook as Confuze (Swedish DMC champion & votet best club DJ several times) will rock you through the evening with his selection of new and old stuff cutting it all up left n right.
Some Info about Confuze:
After winning various DJ competitions in Sweden and finally becoming the Swedish DMC Champion 2003, DJ Confuze`s (born Marko Purgaj) main focus has been to be one of the best club DJ’s in Sweden as well. His skills have been well recognized as he earned the title “BEST DJ” two years in a row at the Swedish Hip-Hop Awards. In 2003 his work with Club Blenda earned him the most prestigious title admitted to a club, the Nöjesguiden Gothenburg Prize for “BEST CLUB”. With his technical, yet funky scratch, and his passion for music he manages to combine an exceptional style that rocks the dancefloors. DJ Confuze’s style has proved to be successful and has given him shows all over Europe (Russia, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Estland, etc), opening for great big acts such as 50 Cent, The Game, John Legend, DJ A-Trak (Kanye West’s DJ), Swedish acts Looptroop and Timbuktu. He’s also played at the biggest festivals in Sweden such as Hultsfred, Göteborgskalaset and Malmöfestivalen.
Besides doing shows he is also involved with some of the best hip-hop clubs (such as The Jump Off, Club Welcome and recent Club Soft) in his hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has also worked with the famous club Fatmilk. The groundbreaking and one of the oldest hip-hop clubs in Sweden that really set the standard of what a hip-hop club should be. GZA (Wu-Tang), Tha Liks, Masta Ace, Jeru Da Damaja, Slum Village and Atmosphere is just some of the many acts that visited Fatmilk throughout its 10 years. To properly celebrate a decade of dopeness, in December 2003 DJ Confuze together along with DJ Dainja (founder of Fatmilk), Timbuktu, Looptroop and Spotrunnaz went to the hip-hop capitol, New York City. The Swedish showcase at Joe’s Pub was a complete success and will definitely go down in the Swedish hip-hop history. DJ Confuze was also the official DJ for the biggest Swedish female rapper, Peshi (check out www.peshi.com).

This week We are Blessed by none less than Modestep with their massive Dub hit “Feel Good”.
As usual come down early to avoid dissapointment.

A Royal College of Music graduate who has released some of the most important UK dance records of the last ten years, MJ Cole’s intricate, heart-wrenching garage productions did more to link the abstract, avant-garde tendencies of the sound to the exploding mainstream scene than any other artist’s work.
Releasing Sincere in 1998, an era-defining single that was both one of the biggest influences on 21st century British dance music, and an overground hit, MJ Cole went on to sign to Gilles Peterson’s Talkin’ Loud label where he put out Sincere the album; one of – if not the – defining garage full-length, and one that spawned the massive single ‘Crazy Love’. It was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
While he never lost his touch with underground British club music MJ Cole’s releases on his own label, Prolific, including the recent Riddim EP, remixes for Mad Decent, Primary 1, Drop The Lime, etc and his production work with Wiley and Example among others show a man deeply committed to the search for emotive, smart and brave club music.
