(www.snrpublishing.com) We have done several remixes and produced tracks for artists globally streatching from Europe, Africa to the birthplace of Hip Hop the Bronx and actually all over US.

AAAAAAAANYWAYS the point was to introduce you all to our first signed artist a 18 year old wonder kid by the name of Jay Samson. We are currently working on his EP “Tattoo” which will be released during the Summer, just before Jay goes on the live shows for Idol. Have a listen to what Jay does:

The Sole Session Presents DJ Neno 26th March

March 1st, 2011 No comments

Another crazy Sole Session coming up already in March.

26th Audio Southapton will be blessed with DJ Neno’s music.

This dude is all about music and love for it, here is abit about him:

Since the first time I laid my eyes on a pair of turntables and mixer I’ve dreamt about one day owning a pair of my own, but since I was only about 10 years old then that was just dreams far away from reality. A couple of years later me and my friends wanted to arrange a local party, but a DJ was missing, since I was the only one with a great music collection and a big passion for DJing it was pretty clear that I should be the guy for it. By this time there were no turntables there for me to play with, only two regular audio cd-players and an old crappy studiomixer without a crossfader. Despite this I struggled with the music and with no cue buttons or pitching, but still I feelt good that I could be able to give the audience a good time and offering some nice music.

As time passed I graduated school, got a job and could finally afford my own gear, the first thing in my mind was to learn how to scratch, so I bought me a pair of American Audio CDI-300 tabletop cd-players, which were totally wrong for my purpose. When I realised that this gear was useless for scratching I immediately sold them and bought a pair of Pioneer CDJ-800 since they seemed to do the work for scratching, and I also got me a scratchmixer from Stanton while I was at it. This setup felt ok for a short period. After a couple of months fooling around with the CDJ stuff I just couldn’t get rid of the toughts to own real turntables, so once again I sold my gear, went to a local dj shop, bought a pair of Technics 1210 turntables, and while I was at it again I made up my mind to get a real scratch mixer, so I bought an Ecler HAK 360 also. Now after spending a few years behind the turntables both at home and in clubs, I try to put down as much of my free time to be as creative as I can be and to practice as much as the spare time allows.

My music style varies a lot in the urban style since I grew listening to my fathers Motown music, but in clubs I play everything from oldschool motown and 80’s funk to the latest Ryan Leslie production.

Jack Beats & The Sole Session Saturday 19th @ Audio Club Soton

February 16th, 2011 No comments

If you’re feeling a little down in this winter period then fear not, as multiple award winning DJ duo Jack Beats are setting off to spread a little joy with their ‘Jack Loves…’ tour.

Jack Beats: “This is our first ever official full tour together, so we’re going to make sure every show gets smashed hard. In the run up to our debut album we’ll be showcasing all our new material and a completely new show, so we can’t wait to get on the road, its going to be massive!”

Since teaming up in 2007, Niall Dailly and Ben Geffin have had a profound effect on the club scene. Whether turning out remixes for the likes of La Roux and Florence & The Machine or releasing their own genre bending club smashes like ‘U.F.O’ EP on Hervé’s Cheap Thrills label, Jack Beats’ cutting edge sound has demanded attention.

From day one the duo’s productions have been well supported by major industry players such as Zane Lowe, Annie Mac (who has played almost everything they have produced), Diplo, A-Trak and the Crookers.

Saturday 5th Feb. Joker & The Sole Session @ Audio

February 2nd, 2011 No comments

Its time for that Crazy weekender. This week Warehouse brings none else than Joker

Born to Grime and adopted by Dubstep, Joker refuses to be tagged although, his soul drenched productions have been described as Jehri Curl Boogie and Wiley stuck in an elevator with Cameo.
His productions possess a rare duality in that they are both instantly identifiable yet impossible to classify. His musical peers include Rustie, Gemmy and Kode 9, the Hyperdub label boss and recognised tastemaker, identified Joker as one to watch when he named him as his protégée for Mary Anne Hobbs’ hugely seminal follow-up to Dubstep Wars, Generation Bass which was broadcast worldwide on BBC Radio

In The Basement I am as usual doing The Sole Session with a blend of ol’school choons mainly hip hop and RnB but will throw in some recent stuff as well. Lets just say I go with the flow and i do it like Nike!

Bless
